Master Relson Gracie
8th degree Red & Black Belt
Relson Gracie, the 2nd oldest son of Helio Gracie, moved to Hawaii
in 1988. He began learning Jiu-Jitsu at two years old and entered
his first competition at the age of ten. He was the Brazilian
National Champion for 22 straight years. During this period he was
undefeated in competition. He became so popular that he attained the
nickname Campeao or Champion among his friends and fans.
Upon his arrival to Honolulu, he introduced the art of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu
to the Aloha State. Relson, along with his brothers, prepared his
younger brother Royce for the first several Ultimate Fighting
Championships. This no-holds barred competition was formed by Rorion
Gracie to showcase the brilliant fighting self-defense style of Gracie
Jiu-Jitsu to the world. What had already been tested and developed
in real-life competition and fighting since the 1920's in Brazil,
has now changed main stream martial arts forever. Relson Gracie,
in his early years, was known for his many street fights and the brutal
and unpredictable style in which he engaged his opponents. Now many
years retired from competition, Relson's philosophy reflects his
father's, which is to train for self-defense and personal advancement.
Relson currently holds the rank of Red & Black Belt under Helio Gracie.
He enjoys teaching classes in Hawaii and at his accredited associations.
Relson travels to Ohio regularly to conduct group seminars, private
lessons and demonstrations.

includes extensive studies in Jeet Kune Do, the style perfected by the
legendary Bruce Lee. Along with "JKD" Jeff studied Wing Chun and mixed

He currently works closely with Robin Geisler, who heads the North-Columbus
Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy. Jeff still competes and placed second
at the 2006 Gracie Worlds Submission Tournament. He leads the Relson
Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy (Lake County Chapter) classes, as
instructor and participant. Believing the best way to learn Jiu-Jitsu
is "to do it" he is an active participant in all classes and open mat
times. He works with Master Gracie to constantly perfect techniques,
via private lessons and seminars. Jeff holds a brown belt
under Relson Gracie.
Robin Geilser
North Columbus Chapter
Robin Geisler began studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the tutelage of
Jeff Hudson, Black Belt under Master Relson Gracie at the North Columbus Chapter.
Robin competes extensively in North America and Brazil. He recently placed first
in the Gracie Nationals and the Arnold Classic. His classes in Columbus are open
to Relson Gracie Member Associates. Robin conducts private lessons, group seminars
and lessons at the Lake County Chapter several times per year. He preaches "mat
time, mat time, mat time" to himself and those he teaches as the best way to
continue one's education. To quote, "You can watch as many videos and read as
many books as you want, but it can't replace the education you'll get from time
spent on the mat." Robin received his black belt from Master Relson Gracie on
August 16, 2006.
